Steel City FLT Training is a Category 3 Training Provider
accredited by the AITT and as such can offer fully accredited
training for both operators and instructors. Steel City FLT is
totally committed to upholding industry standards and all training is
delivered to accrediting body standards and follows the guidance of
the approved code of practice L117.
Who should attend a forklift operator training course?
Regulation 9 of PUWER (Provision and use of Work Equipment
Regulations) states that:
" Every employer shall ensure that all persons who use work
equipment have received adequate training for purposes of health and
safety, including training in the methods which may be adopted when
using the work equipment, any risks which such use may entail and
precautions to be taken."
Who should attend an instructor course?
You may, at some point, decide that having your own in-house
instructor is a cost effective way of providing forklift operator
training on your site.
Steel City FLT Training has extensive experience in delivering
fully accredited instructor training over many years. We can provide
training for novice instructors and existing instructors who are
required to re-register every 5 years.
Are your instructors maintaining standards?
Steel City FLT Training also offer instructor monitoring visits.
These involve a site visit and audit of your instructor during one of
their training delivery days. Designed to identify strong/weak areas
and help to improve (if required) your instructor's performance. This
service is also available to newly qualified instructors who may
require a little guidance in the early stages.
