How do I know I am booking the correct course for our truck?
If you can provide the make and model number of the truck we can provide confirmation.
Alternatively, please e-mail a photograph of the truck for us to identify.
How do I know which course level to book?
- Novices - Have very little or no experience of the truck to be trained on and hold no other current certificate for a truck of a similar type
- Experienced - Have previous experience of operating the truck but have never undergone formal training
- Refresh and retest - Holds a certificate of training for that truck but requires a refresher due to company policy of timed refreshers or following a long period of absence or as part of the company process following an accident
- Conversion - Already holds a certificate for a similar type of machine and can convert that existing knowledge to the new machine e.g. reach to counterbalance or vice versa
- Engineers course - Ideal for onsite engineers who need to move trucks but not stack or de-stack
- Test only - No training delivered, just testing
What will be the duration of the course?
Can I book different skill levels onto the same course?
Unfortunately not as each course will follow different timings.
How many delegates can attend the course?
Counterbalance, reach and pedestrian stackers - Maximum of 3 delegates
PPT - Maximum of 3 delegates
Instructor course - Maximum of 6 delegates
What facilities will I need to provide?
A suitable classroom area for the theory element of the course will be required which is free from disturbances . The practical training area will need to be large enough for steering and stacking exercises and away from normal work activities. The truck must be in good condition and working order with an in date inspection.
Can I book unsociable hours?
We are more than happy to work with you based on the availability of your delegates. Nightshift and weekends can be arranged with a slight adjustment to the daily rate to reflect this.

With 17 years as an instructor, I can bring the knowledge and experience to pass on to your trainees. As a tutor for over 13 years, you can be guaranteed to receive a high quality training service honed over the years rather than an inexperienced trainer who has recently qualified. With no large head office or numerous support staff to maintain I can offer lower prices than the national providers.
Can I have a guaranteed pass?
I have seen this promise made online and unfortunately, the answer is no. Your delegates will need to reach the minimum standard set out in the approved code of practice and by the accrediting body. Every effort will be made for each delegate to achieve a pass. For the few that fail to achieve this, then additional training hours can be arranged if all parties wish to continue.
How do I book?
Please feel free to either call, e-mail or use the contact form to discuss your requirements e.g. course needed, dates, number of delegates etc. Once agreed, I will e-mail a booking form for your completion. On receipt of the completed booking form and payment the course will be confirmed.
Do you only cover Sheffield?
I am based in Sheffield so can cover the city and surrounding areas including Rotherham, Doncaster, Barnsley, Leeds, Chesterfield, Huddersfield, Wakefield etc.
I can work nationally, however this may be be subject to additional travel expenses.
What certification is offered?
I am fully accredited by the AITT (Association of Industrial Truck Trainers). After the completion of a course , your successful delegates will receive a certificate of basic training. I don’t personally process these certificates; your delegates details will be logged onto the AITT Acorns system and the AITT will then create the certificate on my behalf. This can either be a paper copy or an electronic copy. I will then forward the certificates to you for your training records.
