On 16 August 2024, The Accrediting Bodies Association for Workplace Transport (ABA) released a new associated knowledge test standard for Counterbalance Lift Truck and Reach Truck operators. The test has changed to be more inclusive and better assess operator knowledge.
Using the new test standard is currently optional. It will become mandatory from 1 March 2025.
Steel City FLT Training will immediately begin using the new testing standard as it is a fairer way of assessing candidates of all abilities.

Steel City FLT Training now offers instructional techniques courses (Train the trainer).
This is beneficial for companies requiring in-house instructors who do not wish to have the additional costs of accreditation.
On completion of the five day course, your delegates will have covered:
These courses are carried out on your premises with a minimum of two delegates/maximum of three and cost £695 per delegate fully inclusive of all course materials and certification.
